The actual term “Realignment” is from a story a young man told during a men’s prayer meeting I attended. Sitting at a table with friends (a wedding reception I think it was), he noticed a candle. The candle was burning just fine, but the wick was a bit twisted. The wax melted, clumping together at the base, even on the table. The young man said something along these lines, “Although the candle was burning, it was making a mess around it. Sometimes we can make a mess of things, even while we serve God. It is important to allow God to continually realign us inside, our priorities, our perspective… so that we can properly glow with the light He has put in us.”
“Realignment” encapsulates what God has been doing in my life this past year. It is also the beginning of a new chapter in my service to the family of God. My hope, stated simply, is to be an encouragement.
